Debut concert

Ensemble Sooon have covered much ground in our first year. As a reminder to some and an introduction to others, we are an indy-classical group, using notation and open compositions (yes, a good dollop of improvisation) in combination to explore forms existing at the nexus of swirling musical currents. Ensemble Sooon are Martin Kay (saxophone), Danielle Bentley (cello), and Nozome Omote (percussion).

Our first concert was at Mitchell Fine Art, a wonderful gallery dedicated to first nation artists. We performed works by Martin Kay,, Robert Davidson, David Bentley, Alexander Vustin, David Reaston, and Claude Vivier. The concert was recorded and filmed by Louise Wheatley from Wheatley Street Productions.
