Ensemble Sooon formed in 2022 with three of Brisbane’s leading musicians.
Dr Martin Kay is a saxophonist and composer who teaches the next generation of professionals at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music. Dr Danielle Bentley is an in demand cellist and curator of Restrung Productions. Nozomi Omote is an eclectic percussionist in demand for her virtuoso playing and open improvisational approach. Ensemble Sooon  released a live album for grassroots collective Alchemix as well as a studio album released on APRA award winning Made Now Music, and in January will make a live recording of ‘Septet for the End of Messiaen.’ Ensemble Sooon are committed to performing their energetic and accessible style of modern chamber music in a variety of settings, from the Junk Bar, Cave Inn, Sunshine Coast Chamber Music Festival, private homes, the 3rd Australian Biennale of Reductive Arts, and the Queensland Conservatorium of Music. In 2024 they will premiere a specially commissioned work, a multi- media epic exploring artificial intelligence by renowned Australian composer Frank Milward.
